WILL Smith the Hollywood movie star sneaked into Zimbabwe from Zambia today to take part in a bungee jumping exercise on the Victoria Falls bridge.
Smith, who is currently on a tour of Africa with his family, took time to chat to locals and take photos with delighted fans who converged around the amiable Men in Black star while he was preparing to make the jump.
Witness Ndlovu a Zimbabwean photo-journalist told Team Buntu Africa that Smith was in jovial mood as he shook hands with locals. “He is a very chatty guy and easy to talk,” Ndlovu said. “I actually shook hands with him!”
Ndlovu said he was informed that the Smith family had spent Wednesday night at a resort in the Zambian border town of Livingstone. The family has already been to Egypt, Morocco and Tanzania on a private plane.
The Victoria Falls Bridge loops over the Zambezi River and is built over the Second Gorge of the falls. Bungee jumping from the bridge, which links Zimbabwe and Zambia, has become a popular pursuit among the rich and famous.
