SWANSEA University in Wales, UK, is offering a number of International Excellence and Merit scholarships worth up to £6000 to students from Zimbabwe.
Information on the Swansea university website says students with a history of academic and personal excellence are invited to apply for our “International Excellence Scholarships” worth up to £6000 for Undergraduate study and up to £4000 for Postgraduate study.
Scholarship holders progressing to Year 2, will be eligible for a £2000 award dependent on academic results of Year 1 of 65% and above.
Undergraduate candidates are expected to have achieved General Certificate of Education Advanced Level with BCC – AAB with General Certificate of Education English Language grade C equivalent.
Postgraduate candidates must hold a Bachelor Degree, or its equivalent, from a recognised University/College of Higher Education with a minimum of a Bachelor Honours/BTech/Bachelor (NUST)/Specialist Diploma: Second Class Lower Division or CGPA 2.51 or Bachelor General: Second Class Upper Division or Merit awarded with General Certificate of Education English Language grade C or equivalent.
Furthermore, the website proclaims that a number of Zimbabwean students add to its thriving student community each year.
“In addition to Management and Economics our attractive programs in Public Health, Media Communication and Engineering are amongst the courses that offer great prospects to students who chose to return to Zimbabwe,” the website says.
- Please note that students applying for MPhil or PhD are not eligible to apply for the PG Excellence Scholarships and students progressing from ICWS and students currently studying at Swansea are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
